i'm in cataloña. right now i'm trying to finish a report in a noisy bar by a pool. no need to complain :)

fist a word of advice. even if you have waited in stockholm (the city that is fast asleep) in the middle of the night when everything is closed and you have to sit out in the cold and nearly die and feel that everything is shit and you don't really even want to go to spain anymore, and you have been travelling little bits and pieces on a million uncomfortable buses and an unbelievably uncomfortable plane and finally you have been awake almost 30 hours, and then you see the soft white beach and hear the nice sounds from the sea: going to the beach to sleep is not a very good idea! believe me. i now have a bright shiny face. i've never experienced anything so painful. and embarrasing :)

so, monday was spent sleeping on the beach. and then sleeping some more under an umbrella by the pool. and when we finally woke up we went for a walk to a garden that was closed (you will see that "closed" has been sort of a theme for this trip of ours :) and then we went to bed and slept some more. i'm getting old!

tuesday we went to barcelona. looked at the sagrada familia, a stupid magic fountain that was supposed to give a show but that turned out to have it's night off (and we had waited for hours and nearly missed the last train home and missed the last bus and had to take a taxi instead), and some other things you had to see. didn't really like it too much. you don't have to visit barcelona if you don't want to.

today we walked around here in lloret. nice place. can recommend. waited for a show that turned out to never start. this evening i've been working by the pool, but when the teeny weeny little insects became too many i went into the bar. where i am now.

tomorrow we're going to girona.

oh, and every morning we go for walks along the beach, and feed our cats. there is a mother cat who only had one little kitten with lots of green puss in his eyes. the mother is thin and young looking. and today we couldn't see her baby, and she was walking around shouting and looking for it. i hope she had just forgot where she put it! they have enormous sea gul-ish birds here, and apparently they wanted to eat the little baby cat. a man was throwing rocks at them to keep them away.  ¶ 11:20 PM
