today: sunshine, snow, rain, snow, hail, snow and hail, hail, hail, snow, rain, rain, RAIN... and i made the first rhubarb pie

and

there are a few things i think are essential in a garden:
1. rhubarbs
2. apple trees
3. lilacs
4. big rocks

except for the big rocks we have them all. i have a favourite rock not very far away in the woods though, and i have decided it belongs to our garden :)

of course i also love the roses, crocuses, bird cherries, thistles, nettles, dandelions and everyone else. as long as it's alive and in our garden i love it.

the newest member of our family is the husband's gooseberry bush. and my löjtnantshjärta (two semi-essentials). i hope all the snow didn't shock them...
