it's been summer in sollefteå for almost ages now. or at least a week or so. the other day when i was walking the pup i met two young teenager boys with shorts, drinking beer and being cool. it looked so nice i wished i was a cool young teenager boy with shorts and a beer too!

yesterday was our nationaldag, and sollefteå's 90-th birthday. we celebrated by taking the pup for a swim in the river, where we met two of my soon-to-to-be-ex-colleagues (the pup stole their t-shirts, jumped on their blankets with his wet muddy feet and hugged them with his wet muddy arms. and they only laughed and said it was ok. i wonder if they were in a shock, or if they really really like wet dirty pups).

we also went to the park, to have free coffee and sollefteå-cake and listen to people singing and holding speeches. there was a cool mixture of people on our little spot of the park: there was us (= normal people), to our right we had very friendly and talkative alcoholic-looking people drinking beer and smoking pipes and cigars and sweet smelling cigarettes. to their right was a group of serious old teenagers/young adults having real lunch on plates. the girls had embroidered blouses and the boys had black summery serious shoes. and they had bags full of pins in different colours, probably with serious statements on them. in front of the serious group, and slightly to their right was a group of old, pale people with their walkers parked in the bushes. to the left of the old, pale people were three over-weight middle-aged women with flowery blouses, and to the left of them ( and in front of us) was a group of younger (and less serious) young people, with miniskirts and tights and long t-shirts with monkeys on.  ¶ 9:12 AM
