things are growing in my garden!!! i'm sure it's mostly weed, but i'm happy anyway. so when i had to order five books from a book club to be allowed to quit it recently i ordered gardening books :) and i've forbidden the poor husband to mow the lawn, even though he's been nagging me about it for days now. i don't understand why people are so stubborn about lawnmowing, anyway! especially as they often seem to complain about how boring it is... there are millions of fun things growing in the grass. but now he's said he's going to destroy it this weekend, whether i want to or not. so i'll have to save the most interesting of the weed and put somewhere where he can't get it...

the day before yesterday we went to see the circus braziljack. we got tickets at work, and noone wanted to go (!), so one of my colleagues (who happens to be my idol, by the way) finally put them on my desk when i was leaving to go home and said "go to the circus!". fortunately i have a nice friend/neighbour who agreed to dog-sit the cocker spaniel and the pup on very short notice, even though that meant she had to cook her dinner at our place and her boyfriend didn't get any dinner at all.

and i think the audi is depressed or something. or maybe he's just allergic. more and more noises are turning up here and there when we drive, and the annoying beeping warning sign goes off more and more often. and now he won't open the driver's door from inside, so i have to open the window and use the outside handle. and sometimes he refuses to lock the doors. and he falls asleep in curves more and more often... i'm trying to talk encouraging to him, and i pet him a lot, but he doesn't seem to feel any better. maybe he needs to go and see a car doctor soon.  ¶ 10:51 AM
