vacation continued, again:
*monday: went to tierp
*tuesday: went to uppsala with the two sisters. did some shopping, and visited ikea to look at sofas and bookshelves (only for "inspiration", not to buy anything). the oldest little brother came to visit us after dinner, and we rented a film and had a movie night at home (as the cinema in tierp wasn't open)
*wednesday: went to the garbage dump with some old furniture, books and paintings my parents had cleaned out from their cellar. then we went to my mother's cousin, as she had a pile of garbage she wanted us to drive as well. i'm SO glad i don't live closer, so i don't have to help her with her garbage again! she has a gigantic barn, full of very weird (and not very clean) garbage. she didn't even invite us for home made buns for the trouble!
*thursday: don't remember...
*friday: went home. the oldest little sister and the cocker spaniel came with us. went to the house with a few boxes and some painting we bought in uppsala. planted the rose bush, the rhubarb and some lavendar.
*saturday: the sister and i started painting the living room. the husband treated the chairs and sofa in the garden with oil, and took care of some weed in the strawberry field. a friend/colleague and her husband came to visit us, and the cocker spaniel was really impressed with their little poodle.

vacation continued:
*today we started "moving in" in the new house: we've put a few boxes with books in the basement; measured the rooms (we're going to paint the walls in the living room, do something about the floors in the living room and the downstair bedroom, build a wall to make the hall bigger and repace all the skirting boards downstairs. and that's just the start); mowed the lawn and watered some of the plants.
*yesterday was a new coldness record: 7,5 degrees
*i forgot to complain about something that happened this tuesday: i found my first cellulites. a growing up sign, i guess. maybe it comes from being a house owner...
tomorrow we're going to tierp, to visit my parents. hopefully i'll manage to get one of the sisters to come back with us, to help me paint the living room while tommy goes back to the cottage

friday last week was my last day at work. my vacation so far:
saturday:
*the beginning of the "period" (and the head ache, the stomach ache, the bad temper, the wish to die...)
*went to the cottage
sunday:
*the beginning of rain
*don't remember anything more than rain and pain...
monday:
*tommy's brother + family came to visit us. the men did something with the electricity, and i painted the ceiling and the walls in the bedroom
tuesday:
*wallpapered in the bedroom
wednesday:
*went to visit some of tommy's friends
*bought wood and stuff to finish the bedroom
*painted some of the wood for the bedroom
thursday:
*almost finished the bedroom (only the window and the door left)
*went home
*stopped at a friend of tommy's on the way, to eat and gossip
*between 9 and 11 degrees all day! i don't think days under 17 should count as vacation...
friday:
*went to the bank, to sign the last papers for the house
*went to the house to get the keys
*had coca cola, sandwich and strawberries (from our own strawberry field) on the balcony
*went home and started packing (tommy started last week)
*this is the second day without rain on my vacation (i don't think it rained saturday...)

latest news in short:
*"our" house is sold (to the fine young man from stockholm:). it's going to be great. he told me he likes restoring old houses. and he really seems to love it here. he's been here several times, just to walk around and enjoy the place. that's just what our house needs! i'm so happy for it! the present owner is a fun little weird man, but he doesn't know how to treat a house right. it's going to be nice to leave our great views and high ceilings to someone i know will appreciate it.
*the bathing season/summer has officialy begun. yesterday. we tried two different bathing places in the helgum lake. nice, both of them.
*we saw jesus today. he's been reborn as a seagul. he was standing on the water in österforse when we went biking by. i didn't bring the camera, so i can't prove it, but tommy saw him too.
