hello everybody!
i'm right now borrowing a computer at the library in sollefteå. outside the weather gods can't really decide wether to let it be rain or sunshine in this part of the world... i'm hoping for the sunshine :)
i've been visiting a few schools lately, to say that i'm interested in a job there. i'm not, really, but i'd like to get *any* kind of job at the moment. it's much harder than i had expected... in fact i was quite sure to have a job almost at once, without even having to make an effort... how wrong i was :)! i haven't been unemployed before, and i find it very difficult getting used to the idea. i know it's one of my big prejudices, that unemployed people are... not stupid, but at least not as smart as "normal" people... and i really do feel kind of stupid for being unemployed. i feel like i have to beg people for a stupid job for no money. i guess it's not a very big help that i don't even know what kind of job i would *like* to have... anyway, i've talked to some people at some schools around, and today i visited some sort of boss person to say that i could take care of little old people if they had any left. i actually feel that i'd much rather do that than work at a school... i'll have to figure out what i want to do for a living one of these days :)
the back is slowly becoming much better. i've visited a doctor and a physio therapist in långsele, and at the moment i'm going there twice a week. last week i was given acupuncture, which i was very sceptical about. i mean, what could a few very thin needles do? but they actually seemed to be able to do quite a lot... since friday last week (3 days ago) my back has been much better, as long as i don't sit too much. i had forgotten what it felt like to walk without pain! it feels great, but very weird, and my smile grows bigger for every step... it's a good thing that there are not to many people around in nyland ,cause i must look rather stupid. i also love washing my hands, because normally that would hurt very bad but now i almost don't feel a thing. great!!
tommy has a job at the school in sollefteå, teaching swedish to foreigners, spanish and some english. i hope he will like it. his colleagues seem to be nice anyway, but he hasn't met his students yet.
we're still waiting for the adsl to work... it didn't start at the end of last week, as expected... someone said he would telephone me today, but i haven't heard from him yet. stupid people.
have to go, my 30 minutes are up
:)
