today we did the leg thing. according to the r it's more difficult to track when it's cold. and it was cold. and the leg was frozen. but he found it. our pup is the bestest little tracker in the world, probably.

the big brave tracking pup has found a foot in the woods. tomorrow he's moving on to an entire leg. i wonder if he'll be surprised when he finds it? (i sure was surprised when i found three of them in a plastic bag in my office today :)

i managed to finish work on time, despite a head ache that lasted a week.
tonight i was just going to make some plans for next week's intense paper-writing. that's when i noticed it: i've got the weeks wrong! i'm supposed to hand in the paper on sunday! as in THIS sunday. not NEXT sunday. shit!
ah, well. i'm too tired to think about that now anyway.

my cool colleague r has worked with a foot from a dead elk on his desk today. that's cool. and slightly disgusting. he's letting my pup track it in the woods this afternoon. i hope he does well!
